Moose on the Loose... Day 7

Moose on the Loose... Day 7

What a mess! Nick and Noel woke up form their fairy dust slumber, got into the dry erase markers and scribbled all over the whiteboard. Grrr. Argh. Hopefully Nick and Noel take a break from their mischief tonight.

Moose on the Loose... Day 6

Moose on the Loose... Day 6

Uh-oh! Looks like our moose on the loose, Nick and Noel, tried to catch our desk fairy over weekend and got sprinkled with fairy dust! Hopefully they won't be feeling sleepy for too long.

Moose on the Loose... Day 5

Moose on the Loose... Day 5

When we came in the classroom Friday, we found that not only had Nick and Noel cleaned up their mess form their prior night of shenanigans, but they had also put chocolates on the students desks and wrote them a note on their whiteboard that they were sorry. So sweet! We love our Moose on the Loose.

Moose on the Loose... Day 4

Moose on the Loose... Day 4

Oh, no! Nick and Noel went all willy-nilly in the classroom last night and made a holiday mess. They derailed our train and knocked ornaments off of our Christmas tree. Those cheeky moose!

The students were too funny... they were so concerned over who was going to clean up Nick and Noel's holiday mess. Too cute! Hopefully Nick and Noel will clean the mess up tonight... and not make a BIGGER mess while we are not there.

We shall see.....

Moose on the Loose... Day 3

Moose on the Loose... Day 3

WOW! Nick and Noel must really love our amazing firsties. They brought board games to add to our inside recess collection. Fun, fun, fun! The students were so excited that they wanted to have inside recess today... but the weather was too beautiful to stay inside, so I promised the class that I would get the batteries for the Simon and Banana Blast, and the next inside recess we would most definitely play all the games.

Thank you, Nick and Noel, for bringing us such a fun gift to celebrate all our good choices in the classroom!!

Moose on the Loose... Day 2

Moose on the Loose... Day 2

Last night our cheeky moose, Nick and Noel, decided to introduce themselves to our classroom pet tortoise, Ferris, and got stuck climbing out of his habitat! YIKES! I'm sure Ferris had a laugh at Nick and Noel's crazy antics.

Hopefully we do not find them stuck anywhere else in the classroom tomorrow. We will have to wait and see.....

Moose on the Loose... Day 1

Moose on the Loose... Day 1

That's right! Moose on the Loose is my classroom version of Elf on the Shelf. This is such a fun activity to do in the classroom as a countdown to our holiday party and winter break. The students absolutely la-la-love seeing what kind of mischief our moose get into each night while we are gone... and this year I am going to record our entire Moose on the Loose adventure on our classroom blog... FUN!

Meet Nick and Noel, our Moose on the Loose...
Nick and Noel have come down from the North Pole to watch over our class and report to Santa all the good choices our amazing firsties are making in the classroom. How totally stinkin' cute are Nick and Noel?

So for Day 1 of our Moose on the Loose classroom adventure, Nick and Noel arrived in a basket with a book and letter for the class. The book, "The Smallest Gift of Christmas", by Peter Reynolds was the perfect story to kick off our December holiday spirit and celebrations. I was absolutely amazed with how well the students were able to tell me the central message of the story <insert proud teacher moment here>.

Here is the letter the class received, as well a picture of Nick and Noel with the book they brought for the class...

I cannot wait to see what Nick and Noel have in store for us on Day 2...
