Open House

I would like to thank all my parents for making our Open House such an amazing success. We had 16 out of our 19 families able to attend. We covered quite a bit of information during our Open House, and I wanted to take this opportunity to bring up a couple of reminders...

Please be sure to sign up to receive the Box Tops newsletter at BTFE.com/signup and use school ID # 152861. Crown Point Elementary will receive $0.50 for each person that signs up for the Box Tops newsletter.

Our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Taylor, is the Girl Scout Troop Leader for troop 02356, and all second and third graders are welcome to sign up and join.. Troop 02356 will host each Girl Scout meeting at Crown Point Elementary for your convenience. The first Girl Scout meeting is scheduled for the first week of October. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Taylor at (904) 260-5808.

Again, I want to thank everyone for braving the rain and traffic, and spending the evening attending our Open House. I feel so blessed to have such involved parents. I am really looking forward to all the incredible things we will accomplish this school year.

1,000 BOX TOPS!!

CONGRATULATIONS

to Kearson's Classroom on collecting 1,000 box tops by the end of second quarter!! Actually, 1,120 box tops to be exact. Once again, we set the bar high and did an AHHH-MAZING job reaching our goal... cupcake party here we come!! 

Thank you so much to all the parents and grandparents who cut box tops and so generously donated them to our class/school... YOU ARE THE BEST!!

I cannot wait to see if the third time is a charm and we collect another 500 box tops in third quarter. Can we reach 1,500, or is that just crazy talk?!? I'll tell you what I think... WE CAN DO IT!!

Our 500 Box Tops Cupcake Party

Our 500 Box Tops Cupcake Party was a smashing success. The students enjoyed Creeper cupcakes, Frozen cheese balls, juice boxes, and bubbles while they watched The Gruffalo. We read The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson the week prior, and the students were super excited to get to watch the movie based on the book.

Thank you again to all my wonderful parents and grandparents that collected box tops and sent them in. We are looking forward to collecting 500 more box tops in the second quarter and having another cupcake party... WOO-HOO!! :)

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops for Education is an amazing program for schools. Our school receives $0.10 for every box top that is turned in... that's one dime for every box top! Crown Point Elementary can use this money to purchase whatever the school needs... playground equipment, computers, library books, art supplies, science lab equipment, music instruments, even Smartboards... the possibilities are endless.

The Box Top loyalty program is very simple... just purchase products with box top labels, cut the box tops from the package, and turn them into your school. It's so easy... and really adds up!!

I have challenged the students to collect 500 box tops per quarter. We will have a cupcake party to celebrate each time the classroom collects 500 box tops. There is one more week left in the first quarter, and we have already collected 383 box tops!!

If you have any box tops at home, please send them in. I will be sending home this Batty for Box Tops collection sheet this week for each of the students to try to collect ten box tops before the end of October. Ask grandparents, neighbors, and coworkers that may not know about this program because they do not have school-aged children. Encourage them to clip their box tops and donate the box tops to Kearson's Classroom.
